A 45-year-old Grand Street, White Plains man is facing felony charges after authorities allegedly found heroin inside his car, The Journal News reported on June 30.

At around 7:30 p.m., police tried to pull over Anthony Roper’s car for cutting in and out of the wrong lane. When the car stopped at Ferris Avenue, Roper and his female passenger tried to flee, but the officers were able to hold them. Inside the vehicle, authorities allegedly found 480 glassine envelopes of heroin totaling 5.2 ounces. Roper was also accused of possessing a bag of cocaine and five fake $50 bills.

The female car occupant was released from custody. Roper, meanwhile, is being held without bail in the Westchester County jail and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
