The National Football League’s Indianapolis Colts announced on December 17 that the team waived outside linebacker Daniel Adongo following a new report of alleged domestic violence. According to Sports Illustrated, the new incident report was the second accusation of domestic violence against the 26-year-old athlete. There have been no charges filed yet for either case.
The first report came on October 24 when a woman who shares Adongo’s home in Fishers told the police that she was afraid of the linebacker and that she refused to return to their home. The second case allegedly happened on December 10 when the same woman contacted her friend and asked for help. The friend contacted the authorities, and they later found the woman suffering from several physical injuries, including marks on the wrists, a cut lip, and a black eye.
The NFL has stated that officials will investigate the reports further.
