New York man found guilty for domestic violence

A 27-year-old Buffalo man was sentenced Tuesday, December 20, for his involvement in a domestic violence case that began in 2014 in Buffalo, New York.

The man was identified as Brandon Medley; he was found guilty of violating an order of protection against a woman, as well as burglary, first-degree criminal contempt, and second-degree criminal contempt. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

July 2014, Medley reportedly forced his way into a woman’s home and choked the victim. According to the court documents, the man also tore the victim’s shirt and spit in her face. He also tried contacting the victim from Erie County Holding Center numerous times after the court issued a restraining order against him.
