DWI charges against Canandaigua council member

At around 7:00 p.m., Karen White, a 64-year-old council member for Canandaigua was parked on South Main Street when an officer approached her and conducted a DWI investigation. The officer found an open wine bottle located on the floor of the car. Her blood alcohol content was 0.8 percent. She was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and possession of an open alcohol container in the car.

White is a seven-year council member in Canandaigua who was first elected in 2009.
