The New York State Police said 1,390 tickets were issued as a result of their Super Bowl Sunday STOP-DWI campaign, Armonk reported on February 7.

The campaign, which aimed to discourage, identify, and arrest impaired speeding, and aggressive drivers, started at 12 p.m. on February 1 and lasted 12 hours until midnight. State authorities set up sobriety checkpoints across the state, leading to the arrest of 31 drivers for DWI, 55 for not wearing seatbelts, 16 for violating the Move Over law, 408 for speeding, and 39 for distracted driving.
