Charges dismissed due to detectives’ tainted testimony

A dismissal letter written by the District Attorney’s Office asked a Westchester County judge to drop the drug charges against a Peekskill man because of possible false testimony by the two Yonkers detectives who arrested him, a LoHud report stated on May 8.

The decision came after one of the detectives, Christian Koch, pleaded guilty to fabricating information on a search warrant for a School Street apartment raid that caused a tenant to fall out of a window and die. Prosecutors have already dismissed 20 pending drug charges involving Koch.

The Peekskill man was arrested in a September 16, 2011 traffic stop, where he was allegedly found by the detectives in possession of cocaine, crack cocaine, and Ecstasy.
